Kambo, also known as Sapo, is an Amazonian tribal medicine that has been used for ages by various indigenous people in South-America. The treatment consists of applying the secretion of the Green monkey tree frog (Phylomedussa Bicolor) to little burns created on the skin.

Kambo is non-hallucinogenic and many that have participated in a cleansing Kambo ritual have experienced benefits to their physical health and even report spiritual benefits. People have reported improvement and full recovery from depression, addiction, auto-immume diseases and chronic illnesses. Unfortunately there is not a lot of scientific research available at this moment to back up these reports but more and more scientists are getting interested in the chemical composition of the Kambo frog its’s secretion. Many of it’s components have already been isolated and are being investigated in clinical trails. The secretion contains hundreds of different types of bioactive Peptide molecules and some of them have powerful antibiotic, anti-inflamatory, anti-cancer and pain killing properties. However the intelligence and deeply healing hidden in Kambo makes it so much more than the sum of all its peptides combined.

Kambo is very safe when applied by a knowledgeable, skilled and responsible practitioner. Contra-indications to working with this frog secretion do exist. Some of these include pregnancy, heart problems, blood clots, medicated low blood pressure and recent mayor surgery. This is why we will sent you a extensive screening questionnaire when you book your treatment. It is only possible to book a Kambo session in combination with an Ayahuasca ceremony the same evening. If you wish to have a Kambo ceremony before your Ayahuasca ceremony, please let us know during the registration process.
